My HomeTown

I grew up on the waterfront, just like the movie, with Marlon Brando..

the grain mills were always running, the tug boats were busy, the steel mills were in full production, every one worked.. well at least till the holidays, then most got laid off, for a few weeks .I grew up with hard-working middle class people, every one was catholic, and  Irish ..lol, except me..I’m Italian. but the times have changed and so has the part of Buffalo that I grew up in. For the Good, it is now a Tourists destination.  I’ve always been fond of going back home, but now I enjoy it even more… to be continued

Well we messed up yet again, i dont know about the rest of the Americans .. but we were all messed up, seeing that Memorial week end is usually the last week end of the month.. , since there was no Monday , it was moved up a week earlier…
we were suppose to go to a family picnik a few hours south of here, on Sunday… but…we thought it was on Monday??? needless to say we never made it. so i made the best of.. i seem to be getting pretty good at making lemon aid….
so i went to the George Eastman House and Museum of Photography (OUR GOD) if you will …:) well being a holiday the building was not open.. that was fine, that meant no one was there, and i go to walk the grounds… George loved His gardens.. so ill show you around  the gardens… more to follow

A time to remember…the English are coming..the English are coming

Exactly a year ago this week, we had some visitors from Merry ole’England…. One of my best Flickr Budds, wanted to jump the big pond and come for a visit. So Her and her Hubby  did just that.  I’ve known Fragglerocking.   From Flickr  for a very long time, we were so excited and nervous about the visit, I mean No One comes to Rochester New York for a vacation.. Especially from as far away as these guys were coming. So the wheels were in motion.. Where to take them in a short amount of time , we actually only had 5 days, as they were going to stop a few other places before boarding the jet again.

So… We decided to take them to  a few of the WONDERS of our corner of the world.   We enjoyed this visit and we sure hope Fraggy and her Hubby did too! There were so many things we wanted to show them… That we couldn’t , they’ll just have to come back;)
