well here it is the end of the month and Fraggy and I do our little photo exchange thingy, this time it was B&W anything. My Brother-in-law came to town, so I figured I show him something’s that have changed since he’s been gone.. and I kept with the theme of B&W.
this is Ontario State Park.
well thats my little city, Brother in law went back to kansas, and its been raining ever since.
Can you believe its the end of July already? I sure cant. the weather has been crazy. if you stopped by, thank you. have a great week-end.
Well we splurged this year for July 4th , as soon as I knew it wasn’t going to rain, because we have seen our share this summer, nothing but rain and colder than usual summer. Anyway, the reason we took this kind of expensive dinner cruise, was to see the fire works in downtown Rochester,NY. The tickets were 100.00 dollars apiece. The cruise itself, was about 5 hours , we Are Not nite people , and we felt it the next few days. The Cruise started at 7pm and we didn’t return till 12:30 am. A very long trip.
we had to go through 2 locks before leaving the canal, and entering the Genesee River, to head Downtown.
some views of the locks at work, and a few of the bridges we had to go under
well the ride home was cold and uneventful, except for some crazy people who were out in their little motor boats, trying to pass the big boat, so they could all get in the locks b4 us.
Most Saturdays I get up early and head down town, to a very crowded place, Called The Farmers Market. Every City has at least one big one, and today I thought id show you ours. voted #1!! I’ve been to better, but ours has a friendly feel, so much so that people come just to meet their friends and have breakfast, here’s a link http://www.cityofrochester.gov/CategoryLocator.aspx?id=8589935817
hopefully it works?
so on this particular Saturday I met up with a photog group, and we just strolled though, and I saw things id never seen b4, only because when I go to shop, for my veggies, that’s exactly what I do.
have you ever smelled real cocoa
this is what it loks like
this product is the real deal, boy was it ever dry, had to find some water fast.
and the best thing about a farmers market, …no middle man, most everything is cheaper
has any one ever used this in a cocktail /its an anise flavored spirit can be up to 90`148% proof, so needless to say you don’t need much of it. here are 2 colored bottles but you can also buy it colorless traditionally it is not bottled with any sugar, you can see the sugar cube on the glass in the middle. the gentleman told us you would pour the Absinthe over the sugar, the cube will melt. add ice and theres your drink.
well I didn’t buy anything , and I did have a great time meeting up with some new photogs. so after a couple of hours of walking around we met up at another spot
people come for the cheap eats, and meet up with friends, its a great place ,and people stay all day.
well its getting hot, and this was a perfect day, but its getting very crowded now, and I must be on my way. I hope you enjoyed my walk thorough our farmers market. its Quaint, and very friendly. I love going to the city market, where ever we are, you can get a real feel for the city I think. if you stopped by, thank you, and have a most pleasant day, and rest of the week end.
