so here it is the middle of April, I’ve been in a muck of sorts.. not the best time of year for me.
so ive gone through the archives and dug out some of my favorite flowers, since it will be planting season….in another month. I’m NO gardener by any stretch of the imagination, but i know what i like, and i love to see pretty gardens,i just dont have the patience to do it myself.so lets begin the journey…..
well that concludes my tour, it will be Lilac season here soon enough, and that’s the start of everything summer. we have the largest variety of lilacs in the world, something to do with our temps?! I’m told..
so ill be spending most days in the park soon enough. if you stopped by i hope you enjoyed my virtual garden. have a wonderful rest of the week.
Well about a week ago i posted a collection of Fences, today..i thought id share some Benches:),Yes another collection, and i might add a growing group in Flickr, as well as Face book. so let me get started by saying ive been collection these probably as long as fences, now most people who are not into photography will think this is strange, but just like my Fences.. ya just never know what your going to see…… through the eyes of a photographer… so here we go…
well that should do it.. for now:) think of me the next time your out side and go to sit on something:)
If you stopped by thank you in advance. and i dont mean to get political.. its getting just down right scary in the USA though!!!! have a wonderful rest of the week.
so i had to go home again (where i grew up) to take care of Mom. She still needs help with Laundry and grocery shopping, still cant drive yet, or bend. even though im not all that far away, its amazing how 1 night away can gum up the works. Of course sleeping on a sofa doesnt help. but..i do what a can.so my reward was meeting my Brother in Law to shoot for a little bit. We met up on the west side of Buffalo, in a neighborhood called Elmwood Village. and of course had to go to a unique coffee house called SPoT. we walked and walked, and then i headed for my Home, to care for my own family, the felines were angry. what else is new?!!and later in the week , after i caught up on my sleep ,in the comfort of my own bed captured a few subjects:) so here we go……….
i hope you enjoyed the little tour, have a wonderful rest of the week end, and a super week
i thought I’d better take advantage of the day, sun shinning and being in the 50’s. so i did what my good friend Mary Smyth does, i took a walk in the near by village, (My Village in My town). with camera in one hand and iPhone neatly stashed away on my shoulder, and started to walk , the weirdest things were happening. people would ask me crazy questions.. they thought i was a Realtor.. and then…. the cops came..
yep, nice and slow.. around and around the blocks they went ..just watching. i was prepared if i was questioned:) i personally know the Chief..and His Wife:) , its true i rub elbows with the elite … lol. anyway, after i got what i needed i decided.. why take chances? and i also felt good, knowing some one must have called them as said, there’s a stranger walking all around..taking pictures. makes me feel just a little safer.
anyway these are a few of the shots i got, i might have to go back over there this week end (if its not raining..or snowing) just to see the kids.
It’s funny how you take things in your own Backyard for granted….. I’ve never once thought about visiting this place, but the thought of moving to another state has really made me look around. And this past Saturday we took a ride.. just down the road from us, really..30 min. away. to..Sonnenberg Mansion and Gardens. it sits high on a hill overlooking one of out finger lakes.
there was a craft show going on , with food and music, so i thought i could get my Hubby to go.ill going to start with the out side of the mansion.
I’m not sure where the summer went this year, but here it is the middle of August, and schools are opening already.its true I’m retired, but i still go by the school calendar, and i still get up at the crackA$$ of dawn., so while a take a break from my vacation to Florida, i went to spend the week-end with my good pal and her Hubby in Buffalo ,NY.. They always try to show me a good time and this past week-end was no different.
I’m always amazed at the construction going on in my Home Town, Lord knows Buffalonians have waited a long to see prosperity, and its finally happening. their down town has been revitalized into a destination place that is beyond any ones wildest dreams.
sitting on the dock of the canal, just watching the world go by, a perfect summers day, me with my cuppa, and My Hubby with His Ice Cream. Boaters love to talk about their Journey and their vessel. We also have a few boats for sight-seeing. and that will be on another day. for now just more waking around and sitting my the 2 villages near me.
